Mariners 0 | Athletics 9
Luke's last start less than lackluster...
after giving up TWO homers to Barton, including a grand slam, he was done after FOUR innings and SEVENTY-SEVEN pitches.
The bullpen wasn't horrid...
only giving up a combined TWO hits, ONE run and THREE walks over the last FIVE innings
But, the bats and bases were abysmal...
ZERO extra base hits, TWO dp's turned against them and ONE pick off made for a sad last Friday night at The Safe
Navigating the seas of Mariner fandom
via a most buoyant direction and optimistic hue-point

Mariners 1 | Rays 9
Well, so much for the pitching...
Rays hit 'em and hit 'em hard - each Mariner pitcher gave up runs (Doug 4, Garrett 2, Seddon 3) the Rays hit four doubles, one triple and two home runs - yowsa!
M's managed nine hits again...
but, as per usual, could get enough of them in
On the bright side...
this was a bad day for the Yanks (losing to the Red Sox 7-3) as the Rays expand their division lead to 1.5.

Mariners 0 | Rangers 6
Scoreless game through six ...
Felix only gave up three singles and a double with no walks and then came the 7th.
Vlad singled and Murphy homered (looked like Michael had it, but it just eluded his glove at the top of the wall). And then things spiraled for Felix (walk, single, single) and he wouldn't make it out of the inning. Jamey got out of the inning without giving up more runs, but turns out he was just saving 'em for the next inning in which he would give up two and Chris would give up one on a couple of wild pitches ... bleh
Speaking of bleh ...
Why was it SO easy to get 'em ON but SO hard to get 'em IN????
At least one hit in each of the first seven innings (0/12 with RISP)
btw ~ Felix has 9 losses ...
in the NINE losses the M's have scored a total of SEVEN runs
