They are playing for the NFC WEST crown and the right to HOST a playoff game!
Granted, it's not too sexy, considering the records but, considering where these two teams have been in recent years, it's certainly a step in the right direction.
I don't think they'll be apologizing for their respective (un-respected) records and their chance at post season play...
-There are veteran players on both teams who have been around and know the significance
-There are young players on both teams who are eager to experience the added level of intensity
In other words, the players are not taking this "laughing stock game" lightly.
The fans shouldn't either.

Time to slip on some Seahawk gear out here in Colorado! While I don't give the Hawks a snowball's chance in Hell even if they do get past the Rams, I am excited for them!

ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter's best friend lives in Denver and she'll be adding her voice to the 12th man today as well. My daughter actually lives in Austin now and she will be wearing her Seahawks blue and watching the game along with a bears fan, a giants fan and a saints fan (guess the 'boys fans are a little sheepish these days ;-)
I know a lot of people wouldn't agree, but it'd be funny if the Hawks beat the Saints next week.
