Felix has gone six or more innings...
in each of his last three starts, striking out twenty-six batters and allowing only four runs - yet that thirteenth win has been elusive.
Mark, on the other hand....
after going scoreless in seven consecutive appearances has given up runs in back-to-back games for the third time this season (others: Apr 29&May2 and Jul 3& 4). The good news is, last time he did this, he went unscored upon in six consecutive outings.
I didn't get to see any of the game...
and only heard the last inning. Sounds like they put up a bit of a fight in the 9th - Jose had a 12-pitch at bat with runners at 2nd and 3rd and 2 outs before striking out to end the game.
From the sounds of it...
an error a miscue and no help from the umpire were the culprits (aside from being able to get runners in) in this loss.

Tomorrow - here's hoping 4th time's the charm for Ian!
