M's 4 | A's 2
I don't imagine it often happens that the victorious team's batting order strikes out 13 times....
Then again, I don't imagine it often happens that the same batter hits a walk-off home run in extra innings twice in the span of 18-days either.
M's only run was Russell's blast in the 2nd until...
they got a little help from Adam Kennedy in the 8th and tied the game. Wak pinch-hit Junior for Jack H but he ended up striking out. In the top of the 9th. Bill replaced Jack at 3B and Ryan replaced Bill in RF. The drama would come later....
RRS wasn't real sharp...
but made it into the 7th having surrendered only 2 runs. The BP came in and did their thing.
And then came the the 10th....
with one out, one on and a 2-2 count, Ryan launched the game-winner to right field.

The constant theme in that whole series is the M's had much better clutch hitting than the A's.
ReplyDeleteEverything else was pretty much what I expected.
Good series Lisa!
Here's hoping your team sweeps the hated halos, Daniel!
