g16 | a perfect day at Safeco Field...

Mariners 0 | White Sox 4

Perfect for Philip Humber, that is.
As in, throwing the 21st perfect game in Major League Baseball history ... wow.

Lost in the quagmire that was the M's offense on this sunny Saturday at Safeco...
was another QS by Blake Beavan. Granted, he's not lighting the world on fire but, he HAS been giving innings (has pitched at least 6 in each of his 3 starts) and has limited batter's opportunity and damage.

As for the pen, another rather Jekyll and Hyde outing...
Luetge still has no ERA after a scoreless inning
Delbar's ERA went down, even though he gave up a run

OK - so there's obviously nothing to say about the bats, so let's just savor history...

It's not everyday the grounds crew at Safeco Field gets to pose with the opposing pitcher

Here's hoping the M's aren't spitting bristles this afternoon...
't would be nice for them to head out on the road with a win.
