g8 | and the 15,000 mile road trip comes to an end

Mariners 3 | Rangers 5

Get-away day in Central Time isn't exactly an optimal time to watch a baseball game but, our new building at work has several TV's on every floor (mostly tuned to company videos, tweet streams, etc.) but the ones near each kitchen/dining area can be tuned to the channel of choice so, I was able to catch Miggy's RBI double in the 9th and Michael Saunders pinch hit ground out to end the game :-(

Jason's pitched well, especially considering the ballpark and the opposition...
6.2IP - 7H - 4ER - 1BB - 6K (and he is now sporting a lovely sub-one WHIP)

Unfortunately, the bats needed some more time, since they didn't get started till about the 6th...
They recorded exactly ONE hit in the first FIVE innings (Ichiro's single in the first) and then SIX hits, THREE runs over the last FOUR innings.  Nice power ratio as well - 4 of their 7 hits were for extra bases (doubles by Figgy, Olivo, Ryan and a homer by Seager)

Holland was, shall we say, ON.
And, Michael Young was his usual "Mariner-killer" self.

Jesus wasn't behind the plate today but, he did get a hit and score a run...

  1. Wow, Felix again!

Just tell Wedge to skip him this time and start next series

    It's the smart move!

  2. Happy Felix Day, Daniel :-)

Has to be a record, albeit fairly extenuating circumstances, for the number of times a team has had to face Felix (or any ace for that matter)...

    3 times in 17 days

Here's hoping it's still a Happy Felix Day by about 10:30pm tonight!
