"That was my whole goal, to come in here and show them I can pitch at the highest level and make their decision tough. I think I have done that," Jakubauskas said. Grady Sizemore, Victor Martinez, Shin-soo Choo and Asdrubal Cabrera combined to go 1-for-8 with three strikeouts against him. That performance could be a significant plus for Jakubauskas, as no left-hander in Seattle's potential bullpen has stepped forward to prove himself a specialist at shutting down lefty hitters.
