g62 | slammed.

Mariners 2 | Dodgers 8

The first inning started out great for Beavan...
He gave up a hit but was able to record THREE outs with only TEN pitches and all was rosy when Seager hit a solo shot in the bottom of the frame.

Then came the second inning...
which would be Blake's last for the game, where he gave up SIX runs (including a grand slam to Ethier) on FORTY-TWO pitches. I'm thinking he may not be long for the rotation - in his last 8 starts, he has given up 31 runs and averaged only 4+ innings per start.

The lately very reliable 'pen posted some mixed results...

despite lack of control (3 walks) Iwakuma posted 2.1 scoreless and Furbush added another 2.2 scoreless AND hitless frames. Luetge kept his 0.00ERA in tact but, League, who had been coming back around, had a pretty severe set-back, giving up FOUR hits and TWO runs in the 8th

The D was sparkling today...
a couple of nice DP's by Ackley-Ryan-Smoak as well as a caught stealing for Olivo

The O, not so much...
another LOW hit, HIGH ebh ratio - FIVE hits, ONE homer (Seager), ONE double (Saunders)

Here's to their day off, at home - should do them a world of good.
