yes - most by Brendan Ryan but, Kyle Seager was smack in the middle of those THREE double plays (TWO of the inning ending variety) AND Jason Vargas is certainly no slouch at fielding his position and he showed it tonight.

With only 90 pitches, I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking it would have been nice to see him get the CG (he did have 3 CG's last season).
Smyly had 'em stymied for most of the 6 innings he pitched...
BUT, they managed to score j u s t enough.
~ In the 4th, Ichiro singled and stole 2B and Kyle doubled him home (13 of his 20 RBI have come with TWO outs)

despite the lead-off walk, Brandon nailed down his 8th save and the M's 15th victory

After 16 games in-a-row the M's "off-day" will be spent flying cross-country to NY where a series with the Yanks will start 20 straight games.
