Mariners 1 | Rays 8
Not much to say here...
-Figgy broke up the no-no in the sixth (go figure)
-way too many M's didn't have a hit (including Dustin - but he had two walks)
-Mike had another hit and scored the lone run
-Casper Wells, one of the new guys, had a hit and the only RBI - Welcome to Seattle, Casper!
Jason's had way too many bad outings lately ...
He didn't even make it through six innings, threw 113 pitches and gave up six runs (two unearned - ugh!) on nine hits and one walk. Not sure what is going on with him, as I've mentioned previously he is truly "Jekyll" or "Hyde"
Speaking of which...
-the D was great, with an outfield assist DP and Brendan with his requisite awesome play at SS
-the D was dreadful, with THREE errors that led to TWO runs
Hopefully the other new guy - Charlie Furbush....
Just had some "new guy" jitters. He gave up a lead-off home run in the 8th and a walk but got a flyout and a couple of ground outs to get through the inning,
Next up: A's for three and then they go to Anaheim and Arlington ... hopefully to play a little spoiler.
