I didn't see or hear an AB or a single pitch last night, as I was otherwise engaged in reliving some childhood memories with my BFF ~ at a Monkees concert!
't was great fun!
Unfortunately, that other monkey, known as Rally, had WAY too much fun.
Blake had a decent outing (especially for only his second big league start) and the offense at least showed a small spark, but the bullpen had some issues.
The Angels only out hit the M's by a couple (7 vs. 9) but, four of the Halo hits were homers - and, most unfortunately, one came in the bottom of the 9th. Guti and Dustin both had a hit and scored a run and Greg had two hits and scored a run (it would be nice if we could see him more often!). All three RBI's came without the benefit of a hit - Ichiro ground out, Justin and Brendon sac-flys.
Well, with Michael and Felix in the next two, one would think the M's would have a decent chance for a split. But, on the other side will be Pineiro and Haren respectively.
No more rally monkeys - more Davy, Mickey and Peter!
