At the start of play today...
Blake was the 10th rookie on the M's 25-man roster this season and the 7th to make his major league debut and the M's were the last team in the majors to require a sixth starter.
At the end of the game...
Blake was the first Mariner to debut with an outing of 7 innings and only one run and he collected his first major league victory!

Not a lot of offense, as per usual, but just enough (Doug's got to be a bit envious)...
-Ichiro singled and stole second in the first
-Adam came through with his usual clutch RBI to drive Ichiro in
-Justin and Dustin with back-to-back sac-flys in the 3rd (Justin's oh-so-close to a grand slam!)

The bullpen was effective...
-David was a little shaky, loading the bases in the 8th, but got out of it unscathed.
-Brandon came in (fresh off his first all-star selection!) to rack up his major league-leading 22nd save!
