M's 4 | Rangers 5
Well, at the risk of sounding to settle for moral victories, at least this one was competitive.
Yeah, Jason gave up 5 runs, but at least he lasted 5 innings...
His first bit of trouble was in the 2nd but then cruised through the 3rd and 4th. Then in the 5th after giving up solo homer he made a great play on a sac-bunt to tag the runner out, but then the wheels came off. But, hey, what doesn't kill ya makes ya stronger. I just get the feeling that Jason is more the type to take something from a game like that (learning through adversity) more so than Garrett. Though I think Garrett has proved his worth in the pen (so hopefully, that's where he'll stay).
The bullpen looked more like we are used to seeing...
only one hit, one walk and zero runs in three innings - not bad, considering the opponent.
Nice to see Lopey continuing to do well...
he drove in 3 of the 4 M's runs and continues to lead the team in RBI and doubles.
Fans were treated to fireworks during the 2 hour 18 minute rain delay...
