M's 0 | Indians 9
Definitely not among the most enjoyable M's games I've attended ;-(
The bright spot was definitely RR-S...
And the fact that he got through 7 innings giving up 5 hits, 4 runs and 1 walk in his first major league start since April is encouraging. He really pitched pretty decently, until a couple of mistakes in the 7th.
A couple of great catches in "Area 51" and at 3B by Jack.
But then there was the offense...
or lack thereof ~ 4 singles, blech!!!
And the bullpen...
Going into the game, Miggy had a sub-2 ERA at home - he gave up 5 runs in the 9th. Granted, the M's were already down by a significant margin, but we'll never if they might have been able to muster up enough to overcome a 4-run deficit - as opposed to how deflated their confidence must have been with a 9-run hole staring them in the face...
And, of course the fact that the Angels and the Rangers won just rubbed a little salt.
