M's 2 | A's 3

Clearly two aggressive teams competed tonight...
and the 'phants won in every aspect, including the only one that really matters, the final score.

SB = M's 0 | A's 2
CS = M's 2 | A's 1
Plays at the plate = M's OUT in the 3rd | A's SAFE in the 9th

oh yeah ... and there was that little shift that was beaten ;-)

The rosy side was...
Jarrod totally back on track after his rough outing in Anaheim.

Same old, same old...
Jarrod getting almost zero run support.

Tip o' the Cap...
to A's pitching and smart base-running.

p.s. M's now double digits in the loss column (only four other teams left)

  2. Thanks Rosy, but all I did was watch!

    A couple games I thought the A's should have had, but this game the M's screwed themselves over (add on the 2 run homer a foot foul).

    Ichiro, Lopez (a few times) and Branyan all swung at ball four and Suzs throw in the ninth was terrible.

    Cahill actually pitched worse than he did last appareance and got a no-decision proving even more how worthless the w/l stat is!

    Aardsma sooner or later is going to have to at least show a slider in the dirt more than once every 20 throws. i know his era is low right now, but that won't last.

    Good game by Washburn, he reminds me a lot of Moyer. Just throw strikes and change speeds/spots. You don't have to throw 95+ to be successful!

    I suspect a 9-7 game again tomorrow, so, with that in mind, expect a 4-2 match.
