G28 | Cy Ponson vs. (sigh) Silva

AP Photo/Charlie Riedel

M's 1 | Royals 9

Didn't see it.

Didn't hear it.

Thank heavens for work and the Pacific Time Zone ;-)

Here's the thing...
Pitching has been the strength of this team so far, when that goes AND the hitting sucks, there's not a lot to be rosy about.
Nine hits should net more than one run.

Semi-bright spots...

~ After a little shaky start, Olson did a nice job spelling the pen that was in desperate need of being spelled.

~ Junior back in the line-up, seemingly healthy, had a double and a walk

Not gonna dwell.

  1. great headline Lisa, lol.

Angels getting destroyed Bh Halladay and the Jays offense.
    Silva gets destroyed
Ranger game that could go either way.
A's lose another 1 run game on a suzuki fly out to track to give Francisco another save.

Everythings right in the AL West for Wednesday!

  2. I must admit...
the Halos getting blown out and the Yanks losing to the Rays in extras at home definitely takes a bit of the sting out of losing.

Now, if those darn 'phants would kick it into gear ;-)

  3. they're in position to win almost every game I've seen. Even the one they lost to Wakefield was close till the 8th inning.

If no one hits, and get good pitching, a lot of 1-2 run losses.

I have 3 Yanks on my fantasy team and they all did pretty well (damon, Tex and Rivera).

If the M's keep hitting when it matters they'll be pretty tough.

It may be a Royals/Jays vs Marlins/Dodgers WS!

  4. I usually avoid drafting Yanks (I can't stand having to root for them)
but I do have two this year...
Cano, who has started out great and Mariano, who has not.

I'm happy with Lind and Hill though..
and will gladly root hardily for them today :-)
