Whoduthunk with Jaku, Olson and Vargas taking the mound that the M's had a chance of winning one game, let along taking the series!?!
This one was a really fun one to be at, as it had a little of everything...
~ lots a hits (but few runs)
~ some crummy defense and some really awesome defense (on both sides)
~ great pitching all around
~ takin' advantage of a boo-boo and one very timely hit :-)
A really stand-out stat for the homestand so far...
~ the bullpen hasn't surrendered a run
And the stand-out for this particular game...
~ aside from Franklin's walk-off RBI? Gotta be Mark coming in throwing 99+mph and striking out all three batters he faced in the 8th
Here's to the good things from this series carrying over to the next ~ as the Halos come to town for four.
I heard they're trying to deal betancourt to the Pirates for Jack Wilson.
