G33 | don't tell the M's Texas can't pitch

Here's hoping this game wasn't the 2009 season in microcosm.

The starter pitches well...
(wouldathunk Vargas could go 5 innings, giving up only one run in Arlington)

Initially, the bullpen bent but didn't break...
(Batista got himself in AND out of trouble with no damage)

The offense did just enough manufacturing to hang in...

(a Franklin single + a stolen base and a Kenji double)

And hope rises ~ only to be dashed.

And then the BP blow-up...
(Mark coughing up SIX runs in the 7th ~ granted the play behind him hurt more than it helped)

And so, blame is aplenty...
~ blech bats
~ rancid relief
~ dingy "D"

Time to step it up.
Here's to salvaging the TEX series and coming home on a high note to face the Halos at The Safe.

  2. yeah, I wish they'd just score 5 runs everyday instead off being shut out once a week!

To even it out, they'll probably get 4-5 today since the starter isn't an inexperienced lefty (which would result in 8 shutout innings).

Feldman, I went to a game where he was pitching against the A's and was sitting next to his rooting section. This was about 3-4 years ago and while he'll probably end up in the bullpen, he batttles. I'll give him that much.

Ichiro, score more runs for my fantasy team, you're killing me!

You're making Tex look like a good pick!
