Poor Jarrod. I didn't see either of the two games in Texas where Brandon blew the saves, but I would have to think, as gut-punches gut go, this one ranks right up there. To me, it hurts more to lose like this even more so than the exasperation of the offensive drought.
Jarrod gutted out 6 scoreless innings (skipped his last start for a bum knee) only to have Miggy and Lowe blow it for him (and more importantly, the team) in the 7th. Granted, if the M's had scored more than 3 runs, it wouldn't have been the difference - but walks are just unacceptable in that situation....
arghhh!

Man, Bailey is nails!
Bailey actually blew one a few days ago, but that was his 2nd inning out.
ReplyDeleteHe's going to be really good as long as he doesn't fall in love with fast balls right down the middle.
That run the M's lost in the 1st where Sweeney tripped over the damn bag came back to kill them (and him).
I thought that ball Lopez hit was gone on contact.
